Human Rights-compliant Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems

How can the human rights framework contribute to the governance and regulation of AI?

Online Debate (Zoom) – 12 July 2021 – 16:00 – 17:30 CEST

The EU is pushing towards “Digital Transformation” when artificial intelligence (AI) systems will be included in all aspects of our society. The impact of AI on human rights and fundamental freedoms is real and should be analysed under scrutiny and properly addressed.
Do you know how artificial intelligence (AI) systems work and how they can impact human rights and fundamental freedoms, especially your freedom of thought? Are you aware of the future EU Regulation on AI and do you agree with the European Commission's proposal?

Bring these and many more questions and comments to our online public debate on 12 July 2021 at 16:00 CEST with experts from the IT and human rights fields and the European Commission.

The debate will be opened by:

Susie Alegre, International Human Rights Barrister and Consultant,
Doughty Street Chambers, London
Raja Chatila, Professor of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Ethics,
Sorbonne University, Paris
Paul Nemitz, Principal Adviser, Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers,
European Commission, Brussels
Organiser: Sanja Jovičić, Senior Lawyer - Public Law, ERA
