The Importance of Competition Policy for European Consumers in a Digitalised Society

Online Debate (Zoom) – 14 October 2021 – 15:00 – 16:30 CEST

The main purpose of this debate is to contribute to the unfolding Conference on the Future of Europe by spotlighting the importance of competition law and policy for the wellbeing of EU citizens and by ensuring better understanding of what EU competition rules are and why they are important for European consumers in the constantly evolving digitalisation of our society.

The event will provide a platform for exchange of insights, views and ideas between representatives of the European Commission, national competition authorities, legal practice, industry and the consumer community.
